Welcome to your first day as a Raider! Your journey at the University of Mount Union starts here. 

 

Your Mount Union story starts this summer and continues through Fall Orientation. With your Preview Guides, Orientation Guides, and a community ready to welcome you, your first steps as a Raider will be supported, exciting, and unforgettable! Whether you’re excited, nervous, or a mix of both, you belong here, and we’re ready to welcome you.

Our Preview Guides are current Mount Union students who will lead your day, answer your questions, and make sure you feel like you’re part of the Mount Union community from the moment you step on campus.

What is Preview? 

Preview is a one-day summer program designed to help you and your family prepare for a successful transition to Mount Union. Preview is more than a required program; it's your first opportunity to experience life as a Mount Union student. It's where you'll meet future classmates, connect with faculty and staff, and begin to feel at home on campus.  

 

We are excited to welcome you and your family to campus this summer! Choose the Preview date that works best for your schedule:

  • June 11 
  • June 12 
  • July 17 
  • July 18

What to Expect at Preview

  • First-Time and Transfer Students
    • Start building your Mount Union community 
    • Finalize your fall course schedule 
    • Connect with faculty and staff 
    • Get your questions answered before fall 

  • Family Members and Guests
    • Learn how to best support your student during their transition 
    • Connect with campus staff and resources
    • Understand what your student's first year will look like
    • Ask questions and gain peace of mind

    As a reminder, a significant portion of State Street, the main road in front of Mount Union's campus, is undergoing construction throughout the summer. Please plan accordingly to arrive on campus with extra time to get through the construction. 

Looking Ahead

  • Fall Orientation
    • Preview is just the beginning! When you return to campus in August, you’ll take part in Fall Orientation, your official kick-off to the academic year! 
    • Fall Orientation Dates: Friday, August 21 – Sunday, August 23, 2026. 
    • Will provide the schedule to be posted once finished. 
  • Orientation Guides
    • Just like Preview, you won’t navigate Orientation alone. Orientation Guides are student leaders who will support you throughout your first days on campus – helping you connect, get involved, and feel ready for day one!
