I chose Mount Union for graduate school because of the amazing education I received as an undergraduate at Mount Union.

Choosing Mount for education leadership was truly a choice that was a no brainer.

Mount Union not only has passionate professors that are unlike any others but they also offer an online masters degree. This allowed me to keep my full time teaching and coaching jobs while pursuing my dream to be an administrator.

The projects that I've completed in my first three classes have helped me to understand education from a different point of view and have energized me in my teaching

My major in exercise science helped prepare me with prerequisites needed to obtain a master’s degree and gave me real life experience with patients.

Overall, Mount Union is an amazing program and there is not just one thing that this program does to help prepare us for our careers. 

Professor Kunes recognized my nerves, made eye contact that made it feel like he was looking into my soul, and said 'It's okay to be nervous, we understand. Just remember that we are here to get to know you, but you are also here to get to know us.'

Mount Union's program was an easy choice for me. From the very start they made me feel like I was a part of the Raider family and have only progressed ever since.

I loved the idea that Mount Union was a fairly new program because of their innovative approach to teaching PT and state-of-the-art facilities.

I knew PA school would be a challenging journey no matter where I went, but I felt the professors at Mount Union could offer unparalleled comfort and support while still challenging me to become the best provider I can be. 

Traveling abroad to help those in need with few medical resources is a once in a lifetime experience because students learn what the importance of working in the medical field is.

When I interviewed, I immediately felt at home with everyone that I met. I could tell that the professors here genuinely cared about their students' overall well-being, not only their academic accomplishments.

When people used to ask me "What do you want to be when you grow up?", I remember saying a teacher, influenced by those in my family. When exploring careers, I found that as a physician assistant I could pursue both my interests of science and education to educate patients about their health.

While it seems cliché, I have always loved the idea of working in a patient-focused career where I am helping people. I knew that I wanted to provide high quality patient care and be immersed in the treatment of each individual without going to school for a long time.

The tradition and history of the University are prestigious. I wanted to be apart of that and pursue excellence both on and off the field.

Though the program is online, it felt, in a way, like coming home.

Getting to sharpen my skills, learn new material, and dialogue with other educators has been everything I needed to continue to serve my students and their families.

I have unconditional support from the faculty and wholeheartedly believe they care about their students education.

I've seen a wide variety of diagnoses from coccyx pain, TMJ, amputations, pelvic floor, and more, helping me put to practice my skillset.

I love the fact that as a physical therapist you get to improve the lives of patients as well as spend time with them to get to know them, which is an amazing feeling because they become family/friends so you get to treat them long-term.

From the students I met to the faculty who took time to speak with me to the amazing facilities, I just got the sense that this was a place where learning was at its core.

I've only been on my first clinical rotation, an 8-week experience at an orthopedic outpatient clinic in Austintown, OH. I couldn't have asked for a better rotation. I got to see and treat a variety of ortho diagnoses along with vestibular, neurological, and pelvic floor diagnoses.

Impactful aspects of this program include the faculty's genuine commitment to our success. I have never experienced such humble instructors who are willing to seek and immediately implement feedback as well as acknowledge areas of improvement within themselves.

This degree allows me to bring more value to my current role by combining my industry expertise with advanced knowledge in finance, human resource management, and strategic planning.

The special thing about this program is the wide variety of specialty certifications and degrees, clinical backgrounds, and teaching experience that our professors encompass.

I've worked in oncology practically my entire nursing career, and admire the nurse practitioners I worked with.
