Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies
The graduates of Mount Union that I know personally are not only equipped to be successful in their work, but are also successful in life in general and approach life with a live-it-to-the-fullest mentality. I believe that this comes from a strong liberal arts education.
Mount Union is a tight-knit community and this has extended into the PA program. The faculty and staff work very well together with the common goal of providing the students with the best education possible.
Professor, Physician Assistant Studies and Program Director
The Mount Union PA Program focuses on professionalism. The medical community and our clinical preceptors comment regularly about how professional the PA students are from Mount Union.
Associate Professor of Physician Assistant Studies
Being a PA has been the best choice I ever made. I love being in education now and being able to pass down my experience to the next generation of physician assistants.
I was drawn to the program because I enjoyed hearing the students experience applying what they have learned in the classroom. I wanted to be a part of this legacy and help students have the same experience I did.
The helpful thing about PA school for me was taking my education and future profession to the next level and increasing the intensity through the courses and workload.
Every experience while in PA school was helpful in some way; whether it was learning time management to complete all your assignments, making mistakes while performing exams or dealing with difficult patients during clinical rotations. During each and every moment of PA school, something could be learned to better prepare me for my career as a medical provider and for life in general.
We were always encouraged to ask questions and to talk with faculty one on one, and I believe that comfortability as a student is most crucial to optimize our ability to learn.
