Test Scores
The University has adopted a test optional policy and does not require test score submission as part of the admissions process. Applicant test scores will only be considered if the submitted scores increase the scholarship level for which the applicant is eligible. Applicants who choose not to submit test scores are still eligible for academic scholarships.
Students who wish to be considered for the following programs must submit standardized test scores.
- Presidential Scholarship Program
- Direct-entry Nursing Program
- Beginning in the spring of 2025, the science portion of the ACT will be optional. We encourage students who are interested in Mount Union's direct-entry nursing program to take the optional science portion of the test. Priority consideration for direct entry admission to the traditional nursing program is based on specific criteria.
- Honors program
The University still encourages all students who have ACT or SAT scores to submit them, as it helps identify which first-year courses will best serve them.

Counselor and Reference Forms
Transfer students must request a Dean's Evaluation Form in order to be considered for acceptance at the University of Mount Union. This form must be submitted from your most recently attended institution. The Office of Admission reserves the right to require a Dean's Evaluation Form from any previously attended institution. If past or pending disciplinary issues are evident, we will also require a Dean's Evaluation Form from every institution at which the student was enrolled.
