Staying Connected to Mount Union

I stay connected to UMU by following the University on Instagram and watch for updates that way. I also keep in touch with  friends who are still on campus. One of my favorite memories includes taking graduation pictures on campus!

Career Success after Graduating

My main job is to ensure child safety. To do this, I interview parents and children, as well as collaterals, such as doctors, teachers, etc. I perform risk assessments and prepare cases for court, attend hearings, and provide testimonies. I love that every single day is different! I never know where I'll be going or what I'll be doing. I get to visit different parts of Ohio, talk with doctors and lawyers, interview different people, and even testify in court. Every single day is completely different from the last and it keeps the job exciting! A goal of mine throughout my career is to keep learning and get as much training to enhance my career in new experiences.

Choosing to be a Purple Raider

I chose Mount Union because it felt like I could explore many different areas of study and be involved in so much. Mount Union had such a natural sense of family on campus that is impossible to fabricate anywhere else. My extracurriculars as a student were instrumental in teaching me how to effectively communicate and how to handle situations in which people may disagree. My internships helped me build a foundation of the law and how the court systems work.
