Why Athletic Coaching?

Coaching gives me the chance to inspire students on and off the field the same way I do in the classroom, helping them develop both as players and as people. Having overcome challenges as both a high school and collegiate athlete, I'm inspired to support others through the difficult moments they may face in their athletic journey. My ultimate career goal is to coach at the high school level, where I can help student-athletes grow both on and off the field. I want to build a program that not only develops strong soccer players but also shapes good people—teaching values like discipline, teamwork, and resilience that extend far beyond the game. Over time, I aspire to become a head coach, leading a program that strives for success in competition while preparing young athletes to be confident, responsible individuals in life.

Mount Union's M.Ed Program

I chose Mount Union for graduate school because of its strong academic reputation and commitment to student success. What truly set the program apart from others I considered was the combination of rigorous coursework, individualized faculty support, and the flexibility of its online format. The ability to complete my studies remotely allows me to balance professional responsibilities while advancing my education, making it both accessible and practical. Mount Union's emphasis on mentorship and applied learning ensures that I can continue to grow academically and professionally while maintaining the adaptability I need in my schedule.
