Welcome to the University of Mount Union!
Deciding to study in the United States is one of the most significant decisions of an international student's life. Along with the opportunity for academic achievement, it carries the challenge of adapting to a new culture, a different educational system, and different social conventions. It also includes the potential for great personal growth. Having studied in Mexico, as well as traveling all over the world myself, I am eager to share my insights and the resources of my office as you make the transition to life in America.
The Office of International Student Services along with the Office of Diversity and Inclusion is here to help you adapt to all aspects of campus life, acting as liaison and advocate in your dealings with the U.S. government, Mount Union academic departments, and administrative offices. Together, we also conduct orientation, plan cultural programming, and organize social activities.
Part of your educational experience is learning how to accomplish tasks outside the classroom. Our offices will indeed help you to understand how to work through completing these tasks but you will be the one who needs to do the actual work. We will not reproduce the services already offered on campus by other departments but we will gladly educate you about where those offices are and who to consult with for assistance.
If you or your family members have any questions or concerns about Mount Union, please do not hesitate to email me or to come visit my office located in the Hoover-Price Campus Center.
Safe travels,
