Choosing Mount Union
Mount Union felt like my home away from home the first time I stepped foot on campus and I loved the small classroom settings. Faculty and staff members were very welcoming and the community I built made me feel like I belonged even when I didn't think so. I formed life-long friendships through my extensive involvement as a student, for which I am grateful.
Career Aspirations
My extracurricular and internship experiences shaped me into the emerging leader I am becoming today! I was involved in 11 student organizations, 3 on campus jobs and an internship within my desired major. I learned time management, leadership, organization, and multitasking skills, along with forming my own sense of belonging. I love my assistantship at Clemson University. Working on the faculty side with students is an incredible experience and opportunity for me to continue to grow and learn from and about different perspectives and backgrounds of students. I want to continue my path in higher education so that one day I can be apart of a publication along with reaching my career goal of being the Dean of Students.
Favorite Mount Union Memory
I love Mount Union because of its small class sizes and the immense opportunities it gave me not only to step outside my comfort zone, but for helping me build my professional career. I loved going to campus events and expanding my friend group; I stay in touch with the many friends I made through student organizations and my sorority, Alpha Chi Omega. My time as a student at Mount was truly unforgettable.
