Exercise science major

In my short time here, I've found my second home on campus thanks to the friends I have made and relationship I formed with my team!

Education

B.S., Exercise Science

Hometown

Tipp City, OH

Why Mount Union?

I learned about Mount when they recruited me for women’s wrestling. I chose to attend Mount because I wanted to make history on the first women’s wrestling team, and I loved the coaches. They've become the most influential people I go to on campus. They look out for me and take care of me as if I’m part of their own family, which is really helpful because I’m 4 hours away from my own family.

Overcoming Obstacles

The main obstacle I’ve had to overcome is being homesick. During my first semester on campus, I missed home. But when we were on winter break, I wanted to be back on campus. In my short time here, I've found my second home on campus thanks to the friends I have made and relationship I formed with my team!

Future Career in Exercise Science

I chose exercise science as my major because I hope to one day become a physical therapist because of my experiences with sports and injuries. While I am gaining hands-on skills, Mount Union is preparing me to become a physical therapist by letting me learn more about the post-graduation opportunities I have right on campus. I can see myself studying in Mount's DPT program upon graduation.
