Kershaw Lecture Featuring Ben Gantose
The Kershaw Lecture will be presented by Ben Gantose.
Ben Gantose is an artist who specializes in storytelling through design. As a lighting, scenery, projection, and installation designer, he enjoys creating innovative work that challenges traditional boundaries and mediums. Ben’s work encompasses ballet, modern dance, scripted and devised theater, musical theater, opera, events, and immersive installations. He is a Resident Designer at Cleveland Public Theatre, The Children’s Theatre of Cincinnati, and Sacramento Ballet. Additionally, his work has recently been seen at the Zach Theatre in Austin, Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre, Cincinnati Ballet, Nashville Ballet, and Ballet Hawaii.
His lecture is entitled, "Illuminating the Story: Theatrical Design as Visual Dramaturgy in a Digital World."
