Oncology Pharmaceutical Sales

Starting the Florida chapter of the Alumni Association was a way for me to continue to give back, and it also allows me to stay connected to the institution that has provided me with so many life and career options.

Education

B.A. Business Administration

Location

Toronto, Ohio

I am responsible for selling, maintaining and documenting all sales activities for the oncology portfolio of products to physicians within a defined geographic territory. While maintaining a high level of clinical expertise, I am responsible for positioning products as a leader in oncology commitment through development of long-term relationships with key customers as well as patient advocacy groups.

Outstanding Academics

When I set foot on Mount Union’s campus, I felt like I was home. Mount Union always had a reputation for its outstanding academics, and I fell in love with the campus immediately.

Mount Union Memories

My four years at Mount Union were incredible. There isn’t enough room for me to begin to include all the fabulous memories I made with great friends. I remember cheering for Mount Union (at practices, games and of course Stagg Bowls), hanging out with friends late at night (long nights in the library always turned into longer nights filled with girl talk and delirium) and making memories with all of the wonderful sisters of Alpha Chi Omega.

Starting a Career

My first job was pharmaceutical sales, and I still love what I do.

Internships

I was an intern at Medi Home Health my junior year. Through networking with other students, I heard about the pharmaceuticals opportunity. Also, I was lucky enough to intern for Becky Doak, executive director of the Center for Student Success and Office of Career Development, when she came to Mount Union my senior year so I could help spread the word on campus of all the great things that career services could provide.

Helpful Organizations

While I was on campus, I was a Mount Union cheerleader, a sister of the sorority Alpha Chi Omega and a member of Order of Omega.

Dormitory Living

I lived with one of my best friends and was a repeat McMaster girl. I was also able to live with two more of my best friends in Hoiles-Peterson my junior year.

Lifelong Friends

I was lucky to make some amazing friends during my time at Mount Union. Over the years I have celebrated birthdays, traveled with friends, attended and participated in some of their weddings and continued to make lasting memories. The bonds I made with friends from Mount Union are unbreakable, even after graduating when we were no longer across the hall or across the street from one another. We will always be Purple Raiders!

Alumni Benefits

While the focus is always on current students, a strong alumni group can also benefit alumni themselves. Staying connected with our beloved University and building a network of Mount Union friends is a benefit in itself. The Mount Union Alumni Association is a way to see that our Purple Raider experience does not end at graduation. I look forward to working to assist our great University become even greater! Go Raiders!

Proud Alumna

As the Central Florida Chapter president, we have had three annual dinners over the last couple of years. Each year it’s exciting to meet more alumni in the area. Mount Union provided me with an outstanding education and has played an integral role in my life. Starting the Florida chapter of the Alumni Association was a way for me to continue to give back, and it also allows me to stay connected to the institution that has provided me with so many life and career options. I saw it as an opportunity to maintain a partnership with the University and maintain engagement with my fellow Mount Union grads. With more than 16,000 members and counting, a strong and loyal alumni association will help to express ideas directly back to the campus and help to develop current students.
