I work for an automotive parts supply company as the Japanese interpreter for upper management.
The Right Fit
I wanted a school with a good Japanese program, where I could also pursue my interest in design. Mount Union was the perfect fit.
Preparation for the Future
Mount Union helped me get an internship with The Washington Center, and that combined with my on-campus job at the Office of Marketing helped me set up my current indie studio, where I offer freelance design services along with my personal projects. Living in the Japanese Language House and studying abroad also helped me study and make friendships that helped me get to where I am today.
Mount Opportunities
I love Mount Union because it gave me so many opportunities to broaden my range of skills and interests, and made me a well-rounded person.
Love What You Do
I love being able to use Japanese every day and facing new challenges that help me improve my language ability.
Future Goals
I would like to continue enhancing my Japanese ability and become an ATA certified translator/interpreter.
