Mount Union Climbs in 2027 U.S. News Value, Regional University Rankings

ALLIANCE, Ohio — In recognition of its successes in the classroom and its support of students, the University of Mount Union rose in both the Best Value and Regional University classifications for the Midwest as part of U.S. News and World Report’s 2027 rankings.

Mount Union climbed three spots to a tie for 36th in the Regional Universities Midwest ranking and jumped to 18th among Best Value Regional Universities in the Midwest. The University was also named one of the top 30 Private Schools in the Midwest, tying for 27th.

The 2027 U.S. News and World Report rankings also mark the 36th consecutive year that Mount Union has been featured by the outlet, continuing its history-making streak. 

Mount Union was also once again ranked as a Top Performer in Social Mobility, further illustrating its commitment to an education accessible to all students. Nearly 99% of Mount Union undergraduate students receive some form of financial aid, and nearly 83% receive need-based aid. The University also offers more than $44 million in grants and scholarships each year.
