Mount Union Sigma Nu Chapter Recognized with National Award
September 08, 2025LEXINGTON, Virginia — The Sigma Nu Fraternity recognized the Beta Iota chapter at the University of Mount Union with the Rock Chapter Award for 2025. The Award recognizes chapters that have sustained excellence in all areas of operation over the course of two or more academic years.
The Beta Iota chapter was one of only 20 nationwide to earn this honor, among more than 150 active chapters of Sigma Nu. This is their second consecutive Rock Chapter Award, with the group holding a collective 3.39 grade-point average and averaging 43 community service hours per member in 2024-2025.
The Beta Iota chapter at Mount Union was founded in 1892 and currently has 31 members in the chapter. Learn more about the fraternity at sigmanu.org.
