ALLIANCE - Transferring to Mount Union in the spring of 2023, Tony Cook ’24, an exercise science major, will graduate this December, hoping to implement the skills he has gained through his career as a student-athlete.
“I’ve formed meaningful friendships throughout my time at Mount Union, but what stands out from my experience as a student are the real-world opportunities I have participated in thanks to my major,” said Cook. “I have visited Rocket Mortgage Fieldhouse to take a tour of the Cleveland Cavaliers’ home.”

Cook, who is passionate about his football career, explains that Mount Union offers a space for student-athletes like him to enhance their competitive skills while achieving academic goals. He also appreciates that the small class sizes at Mount Union have allowed him to build professional relationships with his professors.
“While I miss home, I have built my home away from home on campus,” said Cook. “Although I like that when I need help, I receive it directly from faculty or staff members who know me by my name.”

Mount Union has given Cook the tools to enhance his career in exercise science by allowing him to build a solid network, which he hopes to use upon graduation and expand his professional connections.
