What made you choose Mount Union?
I learned about Mount Union because of my interest in football. After looking at all of the accomplishments and accolades from the team, I dove deeper into the history of Mount Union and fell in love. I chose Business Management as a major because I want to eventually own my own company/business. My mother, Tanga, has been my inspiration and motivation to pursue a career in business management as I grew up seeing her run her own business.
Overcoming Obstacles
One of the main obstacles I had to overcome in college was public speaking. Partaking in different events on campus helped me break out and overcome the challenge of speaking in front of a crowd. I have become confident in doing so. Mount Union has also helped me build connections, which led me to attend an Internship Fair where I landed a summer internship! My favorite experience by far was winning my first OAC Championship with the Mount Union Football team.
Impactful Faculty and Staff
There are numerous members on Mount’s campus that have impacted me, making it hard to just choose one! Some people like Mike Gregg, Logan Cooper, Darnell Tucker, Caitie Scott, Amy Laubscher-Milnes, Marci Muckleroy, Renee Young, Gwen Schwartz, Amber Hunt, Micheal Reofli, and Mark Black are a few faculty and staff members who have made my journey at UMU unforgettable! It fills me with joy knowing that there's more than one person on campus who help me strive to be the best.
